Currently ranked as the No.1 golf course in New Zealand and No.7 in the world, outside the US by Golf Digest, the rugged, seaside links layout is nestled between towering sand dunes and the islands of the Hauraki Gulf.
It is located on one of New Zealand’s prime surfing beaches, approximately 100 kilometres north of Auckland and includes 11 kilometres of ocean frontage and 225 acres of sand dunes.
Te Arai, the beach beyond which Tara Iti sits, is significant to the local Māori as “the lifting off point between earth & heaven”. The Māori name aptly describes the feeling you get while looking out at the land and sea.
Tara Iti no longer accepts outside play. However, sister property located 1km down the beach, Te Arai Links features world-class golf and luxury accommodation.
